Why this declaration exists

A material supplied as a research reagent and a material supplied for people to take are two different things in law, and what separates them is the purpose the material is sold for. Peptorium supplies reagents for laboratory and in vitro work. The declaration states that purpose for each order, one order at a time, rather than leaving it to a line of small print. It is also the reason this site publishes no dosing information and answers no questions about use in people.

What these materials are

Every item Peptorium offers is a chemical reagent for laboratory and in vitro research. None is a medicinal product within the meaning of European Union pharmaceutical law. None is a food supplement, a medical device or a cosmetic. None has been authorised for placing on the market for use in people, and none is offered for that purpose.

What the buyer declares

The declaration is made at the point of ordering, and it covers each of the following points.

1. The material is bought for laboratory and in vitro research use only.
2. The buyer has the knowledge, the equipment and the working conditions to handle chemical reagents safely.
3. The material will not be given to a person or to an animal, in any form and by any route.
4. The material will not be used for diagnosis, treatment or prevention in a person or an animal.
5. The material will not be resold, passed on or presented to anyone else as something for human or veterinary use.
6. The buyer has reached the age of majority in the country the order is delivered to, and orders on their own behalf or for the organisation named on the order.

A buyer who cannot make this declaration should not place an order.

How the declaration is recorded

It is confirmed as its own step in the order process, not as a line of small print under a button, and an order is not created until it has been confirmed. What is stored with the order is the wording that was shown, together with the date and the time it was confirmed. It stays with the order record.

What Peptorium is responsible for

Peptorium is responsible for the material matching the description published for it. That description states chemistry - sequence, molecular formula, molar mass, CAS number, fill size and storage. What a certificate of analysis contains, and what to ask any supplier for, is set out separately.

Responsibility after delivery

Once a material has been delivered, what is done with it is outside Peptorium's control, and responsibility for use outside this declaration, or for what follows from it, rests with the buyer. Rights the buyer holds under European Union or national law that cannot be removed by agreement are unaffected.

The scope of what is published here

Pages here state chemistry and analytical documentation. Doses, frequencies, cycles, protocols and what a compound is expected to do in a person or an animal fall outside that scope, in correspondence as well as on the page.

Where this declaration applies

It applies to every material in the catalogue, solvents and kits included, and it forms part of the terms of sale. It is given for each order separately, so a buyer who has ordered before confirms it again the next time.
